Where Roll20 shines
If your group plays over the internet, Roll20 gives everyone a shared board: maps with dynamic lighting on paid tiers, tokens, character sheets for many systems, a dice roller wired into the chat, and a marketplace of adventures. It's a whole online game room.
Where Rollune shines
Around a physical table, a full virtual tabletop is more than you need. Rollune keeps what you reach for mid-session on one phone screen: tap the dice, spin the modifier, roll. Advantage and 4d6 drop lowest are a single tap on the Modes tab, and rolls like "Longsword 1d20+5" become presets you replay all night.
Sound is part of the same screen. Stack ambient layers under music and fire effects from the soundboard, and they keep playing in the background while you roll. Nothing needs an account or a connection, and three interface modes (Advanced, Essential and Soundboard) let each person at the table see only what they need.
